HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR ECOWRAPS
Ecowraps can be used as substitutes for plastic in a variety of situations: as charming gift wrapping, for packaging food, among others. Hasu no Ie ecowraps are found in two types: beeswax and vegans (in which vegetable wax is used). Both have antibacterial properties, which also contributes to the longer durability of packaged foods and their safety. We also remember that those made in beeswax should not be used by allergic people (as well as the other components, jojoba oil and pine resin) and in the case of food for babies under 1 year of age, and should be give preference to vegans. It is important to note that ecowraps should NOT be used with raw meat and fish.
Basic care in your daily use:
Cleaning is easily done with water and soap (do not use a washing machine or dishwasher), just wash with a soft sponge and hang to dry without twisting (preferably without the use of clothespins. Attention: do not store cloths with water, as they can mold). Because they are waterproofed with wax, they should not be used in microwaves or hot dishes, as well as in direct sunlight, fire or other heat source, as they can melt, and care should be taken with oily / greasy foods, soiled with soil, in order to avoid stains on the fabric as they cannot be washed with hot water. The same care with very acidic foods like lemon, because its acidity can damage the wax (especially the bees). They can be taken to the freezer but be aware that this reduces their useful life, inducing cracks in their waterproofing. If it starts to crack, you can place the cloths in an oven at 150 degrees for 2 minutes or ironed between two sheets of parchment paper so that they do not stick together. The durability of ecowraps is usually 1 to 2 years, and can last more or less with your care in daily use. When they lose their impermeability they can continue to be used normally as cloths or used for composting without harming the environment, for this purpose the ideal is to use those made with organic cotton.
To store them, give preference to dry and ventilated places, and to be kept for a long time, it can also be in the refrigerator.
